Great episode, many points of which I can relate to. I would definitely recommend a shift from Melbourne to regional Vic.

The main thing I’d add is that it feels like, as a society, we’ve lost the art of sufficiency. Matt’s enthusiasm for the virtue of “enough” rather than chasing the endless cycle of “more” was refreshing.

At 29:00 you mention having to make $35 extra to spend $20. It’s worse than that when you consider investing $20 instead compounded annually at 7% for 30+ years.

$20 once off becomes $150 and $20 extra per week for 30 years becomes $100K
