We didn't have fact-checkers then, we had a compliant media, who then afterwards did a little bit of penitence when it was all done and dusted, and the lie was too obvious to conceal, so they said some magic words to the effect "it wasn't specifically me who was a journalistic mouthpiece for whatever the government wanted to lie about, but our industry in general has learnt our lesson". There are also others got strange health conditions after 5 of these. I had a cousin who had a recurrence of a blood cancer that he did not survive this time.
